Right now, Web3 is the centre of a lot of activity. I think a revolution is on the horizon. And I’m not going to pass up this opportunity. I will help you get started on this journey.

Enough, let’s get this quick!

Before making the switch to this field, I was a Full Stack Developer for a year. You should know the fundamentals of Frontend development if you want to work in the blockchain industry as a developer. The front end of your applications will not change in any significant way when you begin developing them on the Blockchain. So it’s a win-win. The course I followed to become a fully fledged Full Stack Developer was Angela Yu’s course on Udemy. Even though it’s time-consuming, the course is definitely worthwhile. Learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, JS, and ReactJS as well if you want to get started with blockchain development right away. If you want to get started, all you have to do is follow the YouTube series of any competent YouTuber, grab hold of the fundamentals, and construct a few simple to moderately complex projects. Don’t go too much in depth. Just be aware of how the project functions and what works in frontend development. If you work at it regularly, you should finish in under 45 days.SKIP THIS PARAGRAPH IF YOU KNOW WEB-DEVELOPMENT BASICS ^

# WEEK1

  1. Understand how Blockchain works: Before I started developing applications, I understood how Blockchain works. Why is blockchain so secure, traceable, immutable, and how it handles transactions. In the beginning, this all seemed confusing to me, but later it all made sense. In the first week, I was overwhelmed by the number of new terms I had to learn about the Blockchain ecosystem. For the sake of memory, I wrote down definitions of all the terms I needed to know. Later on, when I saw it used again, I immediately thought of the definition I had written down, and it all made sense. One must be familiar with the distinctions between web1, web2, and web3. Later, I was able to see blockchain’s useful context and appreciate its significance.

I found these resources helpful:

Best video of blockchain on the internet (After watching this video, I had a basic understanding of how blockchain works).

Bitcoin whitepaper (whitepaper is the mother of all resources, I gave it a shot)

Explanation on Bitcoin (explains bitcoin whitepaper)

BaSD Web3 Bootcamp (this is a very resource intensive doc, I even got distracted for some time. Just watch the basics of blockchain part)

Preethi kasireddy’s blogs (she writes great beginner friendly blogs on blockchain and more)

All about web3 ( helped me to know about web3 and lot more)

2. I joined communities: Today, unless you’re Sherlock, it’s nearly impossible to have a great impact in the world solely on your own. Participate in a group that shares your passions and interests. Communities encourage members to continue growing alongside one another while also offering consistent assistance.

What I did:

I joined discord servers, twitter, and telegram groups. Twitter is a very important social media platform for blockchain enthusiasts. On Twitter, you can find all the latest news. So that I could keep up with the latest happenings in the blockchain ecosystem, I decided to start following all the major players.

Just check my following on Twitter. I have followed a few. My profile

That is exactly what I did the first week. I was always in touch with my mentors who had assisted me along the way. When I’m really stuck, I also have a collection of e-books to refer to. Anytime you need an ebook or some assistance, don’t hesitate to ask for it. I’d be glad to lend a hand.

The work I do for the following week will be detailed in a new article, which I will publish next week.

Thanks. Bye!

I hope this helps. Feedback is appreciated.
